Easter Fun Crafts, Craft Show, and other ramblings.

What the story Morning Glory? Wow! It's been many days since I left a little conversation for ya, huh?
Well... Sale-a-bration ended with a bang! (Sorry to see it end though - so much fun!!) I've been busy getting ready for the HeART of Yukon Craft Event and I had a great time there. (I'll share some pics of that in a minute.) Let's see, what else have I been up to? Oh I know! Had a great time with my Fancy Fold class. I will post one Fancy Fold card each week - with tutorials! (Uh oh! Now it's spoken into the universe. I'm committed. lol) Hm... and I made a fun wedding card. Working on name tags and treats for my INK Demos meeting this Saturday. Looking forward to seeing my girls - always!!
That's enough reading. Let's look at some pictures!!
This is one of the projects we made at my March Stamp club!

It is an Accordion Fold Card or Step Fold Card.

We used some great stuff from the Occasions Mini!

This is a really fun  and EASY technique! We used Sweet Shop Designer Series Paper and the adorable Sweet Cake stamp set, both still available through the end of April. My club girls also got to play with the new Stampin' Up! e used the Label Framelit here. What a great addition to our crafting!! If you would like to make this, just leave me a comment and I'll send you the dimensions.

Cutie little Easter "Peep-a-boo". Made with the Matchbox Die.

Basket full of fresh made Easter Carrots. Even the Easter Bunny can't grow 'em like this!

Easter and Spring Necklaces made from Beveled Windowpanes. Cute!

Plus a charm!

I Have a Purple Passion!

I know, I know! February is all about pink and red. But wait until you see the world, not through rose colored glasses but PURPLE ones!

It all began with the new breakfast smoothie I made yesterday morning. My sweet cousin Donna gave me the idea to put oatmeal in a smoothie so I did what every other well connected modern women would do - I googled it! Look at what I found... YUM!!!

I call it Purple Passion! You will find the recipe at the bottom.

I have loved the color purple my whole entire life. I think there really is no other color like it in the spectrum. Purple has the power to excite and soothe all at the same time. It can be bold and dramatic or soft as a cloud. Put red and purple next to each other and you've got something clammoring for your attention, but add a bit of yellow with your purple and see how soft and unassuming it becomes. Well enough words, let's look at some purple in action.

Concord Crush and Real Red Valentine made by Janet Baker. Janet's cute little candy pouch is made with the Top Note Die (I LOVE my Big Shot!) and the Heart and banner are from Take It To Heart stamp set.
This lovely card was made by Shelia deCordova for Leadership. I love the way she used the new Label Framelits by Stampin' Up! Shelia also used another new stamp set from the Occasions Mini - Apothecary Art.
This adorable purple polka dot was made by Amy Storrie. Wisteria Wonder & Pool Party are colors featured in the Sweet Shop Product Suite. The suite has Designer Papers, Designer Stickers, Sweet Shop Jelly Bean Brads and much more!!
Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant make a nice frame for Monica Wood's card. Monica also used the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen for a pretty water colored effect.
This is a card I made awhile back. Added a paper pieced quilt square to Baja Breeze and ran it through the Vintage Wallpaper  Embossing Folder (I LOVE my Big Shot!). I framed the whole thing in Perfect Plum and added a cute tag from the Four Frames stamp set.
I hope this makes you want to go create in purple!! If so, leave me a comment. Or better yet, send me a picture! I've got something special (and purple) to give away today so don't be shy.

The winner of the His & Hers Valentines Card Pack is......................drum roll, please............................
.......Belinda Stone!!! Congrats B! I'll get your Valentines over to you this weekend or you can stop in Saturday morning for Stamp Club.

Hello 2012!!!

Happy New Year!
I had the best time this morning. "What did I do", you ask? Well, let me tell you about it. I got to spend the morning with an amazing group of creative women - and we were all in our PJs!
Instead of have our regular monthly meeting of my Stampin' Up! family, we had a Virtual Meeting. I called it "INK 'n PJs". We had lots of sharing and chatting and even several challenges. I asked everyone to tell me one thing they would like to accomplish in their Stampin' Up! business by the end or our year, which ends June 30, and one action step they will take to get there. Wow! What great goals, and I believe everyone is willing to work hard to achieve them. Together we will encourage each other and hold each other accountable to do our best. Just doesn't get any better than that!

One of my goals is to NOT NEGLECT MY BLOG. So, I am really going to try to post at least once a week (or more often, when I can) and show more stamped art. Let me know what you think. I love to hear from you!!

I mentioned  the challenges we had today, well here is one of them.
My dear friend, Margaret found this sketch for us to use as inspiration for our own work. There were some really great cards created.
This is the card I created from the sketch. I changed the shape from rectangle to square and used the Scallop Square Clear die in my Big Shot to create the card base in Marina Mist. (I love my Big Shot!!) I just got my new Pennant Builder Wheel and decided that would make a cute piece in place of the solid strip across the middle. I wheeled 3 times, each in a different color- Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi & Melon Mambo. Then cut it out and layered the different color pennants. I used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (I love my Big Shot!!) on the white square to give it fun texture and layered that on a piece of Wild Wasabi. Then I stamped the birthday cake and sentiment from Bring On the Cake stamp set and layered those on top. I think it turned out pretty cute, don't you? If you would like to try this sketch I'd love to see what you come up with. Shoot me a picture and I'll feature it on my blog and "reward" you.

Well, I don't want to over do it, so that's all for now. Please leave me a comment if you like my card. I love to hear from you!!

Thanks for visiting My Stamping Table.

i. love. pumpkin. BLING!

I just love this black pumpkin with BLING! My "BOO"tiful Halloween class will love making this, I hope!! I think this pumpkin will look sooo pretty next to the white pumpkin with black jewels we made in class last year.
We are also making a Graveyard "Welcome" sign and a cute laminar! (picture below) To finish our class I am giving the stampers a couple of ideas for using the new 1"x 8" Cello Bags. Thanks for checking me out. Please leave a comment! It's pretty scary always talking to myself. <giggle>

(Note: Trying to catch up so check back often!)

Crafting with Wood

These are the lovely tags I made for all my INK girls who attended convention with me. They were pretty time intensive but it was a "labor of love" cause I LOVE all my girls!! I started with a piece of Wood Sheet and rounded the top corners. Wheeled and distressed them before I added the ribbon tie and the flower and initial adornment. The flower is made using the Big Shot and Fun Flowers die. I cut out different sizes of flowers from cardstock, Paisley Petals DSP, and the Wood sheets. I also layered 3 First Edition Scallop punches tucked in the middle. Crinkled and distressed all the layers and then topped it off with a sprinkling of glass glitter. The initial is chip board covered in First Edition DSP and then run through the BS using the Serif Essentials Alphabet die. I really love the mix of wood and paper, don't you?!
You can make a paper bookmark similar to this at my Paper Crafting Open House on July 30. It's Come & Go from 10 am to 2 pm. Bring a friend with you and you will both get a gift from me!! Be sure to RSVP by July 28 so I will have it all ready for you. Thanks so much for dropping by and please leave me a comment. I look a little silly talking to myself. :)
