Crafting with Wood

These are the lovely tags I made for all my INK girls who attended convention with me. They were pretty time intensive but it was a "labor of love" cause I LOVE all my girls!! I started with a piece of Wood Sheet and rounded the top corners. Wheeled and distressed them before I added the ribbon tie and the flower and initial adornment. The flower is made using the Big Shot and Fun Flowers die. I cut out different sizes of flowers from cardstock, Paisley Petals DSP, and the Wood sheets. I also layered 3 First Edition Scallop punches tucked in the middle. Crinkled and distressed all the layers and then topped it off with a sprinkling of glass glitter. The initial is chip board covered in First Edition DSP and then run through the BS using the Serif Essentials Alphabet die. I really love the mix of wood and paper, don't you?!
You can make a paper bookmark similar to this at my Paper Crafting Open House on July 30. It's Come & Go from 10 am to 2 pm. Bring a friend with you and you will both get a gift from me!! Be sure to RSVP by July 28 so I will have it all ready for you. Thanks so much for dropping by and please leave me a comment. I look a little silly talking to myself. :)

Meet 3 Amazing Women!

I want to recognize and congratulate 3 members of my INK stamping circle: Meg Daves (Texas) #27, Connie Stewart (Oklahoma) #95, and Sherri Peters (Oklahoma) #73. These demonstrators have earned a spot in the top 100 demonstrators in the United States!! There are close to 40,000 active demonstrators so you can see that this is a huge honor and accomplishment! They have worked very hard and will be enjoying a very special trip to Founder's Circle. WOOHOO!!!! and CONGRATULATIONS!!! on a job well done my friends!  I am soooo proud and excited for you!!! And congratulations to ALL of the Founder's Circle achievers!

Stampin' Up! Conventionw 2011 - All I Can Say is...WOW!!!

I'm just home from another AMAZING Stampin' Up! Convention experience. Each year SU tries to "one-up" the year before and each year they totally succeed.  What made this year even MORE fun was that I had 3 convention "FIRST-TIMERS" with me. Cheryl, Melissa and Pam are 3 of the girls in my circle of demonstrators and this was their first convention experience. I am pretty sure they will all be back next year! Of course it's also such a treat to see ALL the demonstrators that I have come to know and love over the past 19 years. Great friends, fun stamping, delicious food, the beautiful scenery (and much cooler temps) of Salt Lake City all made for the best convention yet!!

If you love card making, scrapbooking, and creative fun like we do, then Stampin' Up! is the perfect fit for you!
