Easter Fun Crafts, Craft Show, and other ramblings.

What the story Morning Glory? Wow! It's been many days since I left a little conversation for ya, huh?
Well... Sale-a-bration ended with a bang! (Sorry to see it end though - so much fun!!) I've been busy getting ready for the HeART of Yukon Craft Event and I had a great time there. (I'll share some pics of that in a minute.) Let's see, what else have I been up to? Oh I know! Had a great time with my Fancy Fold class. I will post one Fancy Fold card each week - with tutorials! (Uh oh! Now it's spoken into the universe. I'm committed. lol) Hm... and I made a fun wedding card. Working on name tags and treats for my INK Demos meeting this Saturday. Looking forward to seeing my girls - always!!

If you would like to make this, just leave me a comment and I'll send you the dimensions.

Love and Stamping! They Just Go Together!!

Love Banner! Not just for Valentine's Day.
I LOVE STAMPING! And I LOVE celebrating Saint Valentine's Day! So you can safely assume that I REALLY LOVE STAMPING FOR Valentine's day!!! (Sorry for all the yelling - I'm just excited. giggle)

Had a BLAST (oops! yelling again) at Cousins Craft Day! My sweet cousin-in-law, Marsha McIntyre and her two, adorable daughters-in-law Shayne and Reagan McIntyre, and my fun and gorgeous niece, Courtny Steward came over for a day of Valentine Crafting. We had so much fun catching up, drinking Mimosas and making cute Valentine treats! I can't wait for another Cousins Craft Day!!

Inspiration in color can be found everywhere! Our beautiful Mimosas!!

Yay! Marsha is crafting with me! Love it!!

Regan and Shayna working on their projects. Aren't they cute?!!

Courtny always has a smile on her sweet face.

Shayna showing off her creativeness!

Here is Regan's. I loved how everyone did a little something different.

Courtny's banner is so cute too!

"Crafty Cousins"
Guess who else is crafting for Valentines Day?
Grant made the most adorable "name banner" for his sweet girlfriend, Shelby. He did such a great job on it. I can't believe I let him get out of the house with it before I got a picture. It was pink and red with black letters, and he added some special b&w pictures of the two of them together. Maybe I can have Shelby take a picture of it.

I Have a Purple Passion!

I know, I know! February is all about pink and red. But wait until you see the world, not through rose colored glasses but PURPLE ones!

It all began with the new breakfast smoothie I made yesterday morning. My sweet cousin Donna gave me the idea to put oatmeal in a smoothie so I did what every other well connected modern women would do - I googled it! Look at what I found... YUM!!!

I call it Purple Passion! You will find the recipe at the bottom.

I have loved the color purple my whole entire life. I think there really is no other color like it in the spectrum. Purple has the power to excite and soothe all at the same time. It can be bold and dramatic or soft as a cloud. Put red and purple next to each other and you've got something clammoring for your attention, but add a bit of yellow with your purple and see how soft and unassuming it becomes. Well enough words, let's look at some purple in action.

Concord Crush and Real Red Valentine made by Janet Baker. Janet's cute little candy pouch is made with the Top Note Die (I LOVE my Big Shot!) and the Heart and banner are from Take It To Heart stamp set.
This lovely card was made by Shelia deCordova for Leadership. I love the way she used the new Label Framelits by Stampin' Up! Shelia also used another new stamp set from the Occasions Mini - Apothecary Art.
This adorable purple polka dot was made by Amy Storrie. Wisteria Wonder & Pool Party are colors featured in the Sweet Shop Product Suite. The suite has Designer Papers, Designer Stickers, Sweet Shop Jelly Bean Brads and much more!!
Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant make a nice frame for Monica Wood's card. Monica also used the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen for a pretty water colored effect.
This is a card I made awhile back. Added a paper pieced quilt square to Baja Breeze and ran it through the Vintage Wallpaper  Embossing Folder (I LOVE my Big Shot!). I framed the whole thing in Perfect Plum and added a cute tag from the Four Frames stamp set.
I hope this makes you want to go create in purple!! If so, leave me a comment. Or better yet, send me a picture! I've got something special (and purple) to give away today so don't be shy.

The winner of the His & Hers Valentines Card Pack is......................drum roll, please............................
.......Belinda Stone!!! Congrats B! I'll get your Valentines over to you this weekend or you can stop in Saturday morning for Stamp Club.

Superbowl Party Turns STAMPING PARTY!

Ok! I had the best weekend!! Here's are the highlights:
Dinner Friday night at my favorite hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint (Woody's, between Guthrie and Langston) with my sweetie, 2 delightful offspring and 1 equally delightful significant other. So fun! We laughed and laughed.
Then I got to spend Saturday morning with the wonderful and talented women of INK the Beginning. We have a get-together every month on the first Saturday and this one was our quarterly Stamp-a-Stack! It was so much fun to see everyone and watch them socialize and build relationships while they create beautiful cards to share with their friends.  Saturday was FREEZING so we fixed a big pot of chili for dinner and a roaring fire in the fireplace. Our W-ford kids were here for the weekend so we invited Thunder fan, Uncle Vernon over and watched the game. Sadly, the Thunder didn't win this time.
Superbowl Sunday was a hoot!! We were invited to our friend, Druber's house. Now we all know that just about everyone enjoys the act of creating something special with their own hands. So I thought, "Hey, there will be several of our couple friends at the watch party and I know they all need Valentines cards....", you know where I'm going with this! Well, I asked Druber if I could bring the Arts & Crafts. His reply was, "Um, yes?" So I took this as a solid, "Please do!" Haha! What happened next was the magic of stamping. Well, I just tell the story with pictures.
Bart getting instructions.

My sweetie came to Bart's rescue and joined the stampers.
Proud and showing off their cards!
Here are Wendy and Kevin working hard.

That is the smile of one proud Ogle! Thanks for being such a sport, Kevin.
Beautiful Ginger showing off her first time to create a card.

Cutie bug, Wendy with a Valentine for her man.

Sweet Marla added her creativity to the inside of her Valentine.

Al is hard at work on his special Valentine.

And finally, host Druber and his handy work. Great job everyone!!

So as you can see anyone can have fun stamping, even if they don't know it yet!

Pass the salt...er...I mean GLITTER!

At My Stamping Table this month my delightful club girls will get this fun treat! These are made using diner style salt shakers and products from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I stamped one of the adorable flowers from the Mixed Bunch stamp set in Marina Mist ink and punched it our using the coordinating Blossom Punch (LOVE IT!). Then I added a button with a glitter center and the fun little "Create" banner from the Loving Thoughts stamp set (also in the Occasions Mini). Oh ya, I wrapped each salt shaker in a strip of Marina Mist Patterns Designer Series Paper too.

What a cute way to store your pretty Stampin' Up! glitter, don't you think? You can have one too! Just leave me a comment and tomorrow I will draw one lucky winner.

Remember! It's Sale-a-bration time at My Stamping Table. With your $50 order you get to choose one of the must-have products in the Sale-a-bration catalog. 2 Cards and a Smoothie!

Hello friendly friends!
Today I have 3 fun things to show you! First - I got this cute card from my BDA, Ashley (hi Ashley! Can you see me waving to you?) Let me back up a bit. For those of you that are not hip to Stampin' Up lingo, a BDA is a Business Development Advisor , sort of a business coach, but mostly someone to brainstorm with and an accountability buddy. Well Ashley is mine and she is great!! Always encouraging and supportive, but has a way of asking just the right questions to help hammer out my plans. She sent this card to me  for my 20th Year Anniversary! ( Maybe you haven't heard, but I just celebrated my 20th year as a Stampin' Up demonstrator! lol :)) Isn't that just too sweet of her?! Thank you Ashley! Love ya!!!
Ashley's Card
The next fun card is one that I made to hand out to my neighbors with the March of Dimes donation envelope. I thought I could combine 2 of my favorite things - Valentine's cards and healthy babies! I have been the Mother's March volunteer for my block for the last 4 or 5 years, but haven't had great success in bringing in donations. When the March of Dimes folks called again this year I told them I didn't seem to do well in the past but I'll try again. The nice lady on the other end of the phone said it was important to get donations, of course, but the most important thing is to bring awareness and get the information out about the steps women can take to increase the odds of a healthy baby. So this year I'm adding this cute little 3x3 Valentine with a note saying, "Give this Valentine Love Note to someone you love that started out life as a baby!" teehee  I hope this increases the number of people that will read the info and make a donation. Keep you finger crossed (if you were lucky enough to be born with all of them).

Celebrating 20 Years of Stamping with You!

Woohoo! I'm ready to party like it's 1992! That's the year I sign my contract to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - 20 YEARS AGO TODAY!!! Of course, all I wanted was everything in the catalog, and at a discount. (That's how it goes when you are indecisive. lol) I embossed those 3 little angels in gold EP and I was hooked for life, and...well...the rest is history.

I am humbled and tremendously blessed by the friendships, experiences, and growth I have gained by being a stamping business owner. How fun it is that I get to create lovely things and help others create and grow, AND all the while we keep learning and sharing with each other. Not a bad way to make a living, huh?

I am filled with gratitude and thankfulness that this opportunity has allowed me to be a stay-at-home mom. Not that it was always easy or without sacrifice, like the time I loaded my car to head out for a workshop and I had a crying toddler cling-on. We managed to carve him off of me only to have him escape the arms of an older sibling, cut thru the back yards and meet me as I left the neighborhood. Oh my, that determined little guy is now leaving my nest and I have the same urge to wrap myself around his leg and beg him to stay. Maybe I will cut through the backyards and meet HIM as he leaves the neighborhood. <sigh>

Looking back over the years I realize the growth and experiences I would have missed by not staying the course. Having no real business skills, I found a niche in Stampin' Up where I could learn to be a business women, enjoy creativity, share the experience with many diverse women and become successful in what I do. I am again humbled to think that I have achieved some pretty neat milestones throughout these 20 years. One such milestone was being named number 53 in the top 100 demonstrators and invited to attend Founder's Circle. Wow! That was an experience of a lifetime! I also have gotten to take my sweetie to Hawaii and Alaska (oh he earned it just as much as I did! haha!)
and we are currently working on Fiji!! I hope I don't sound like I'm bragging. I truly am not. As I recollect these events I am struck by the thought that if I can do this - anyone can do this!

Well I have rambled on long enough. Thanks for indulging me a few minutes and reading this. At the end of the day I just hope and pray that I have made a positive impact in someone else' life. If I have had even half the impact that you, my friends, loyal customers, partners in stamping crime, have had on me - job well done!

More Leaders and a card!

I want to recognize some of my leaders that were at Leadership. I love that Stampin' Up lets us parade across the stage when we accomplish a promotion, or earn a trip, or achieve some other milestone in our career. At Leadership 2012, these girls got to "strut their stuff" across the stage.
Julia Gass & Shelia deCordova got to walk (and talk) together for earning a promotion to Senior Supervisor. Congrats ladies!

Senior Supervisor is the first title that qualifies you to go to Leadership. Here is Shelia and Julia showing off their title badges. I think if you asked them they would say Leadership is totally worth the effort to promote to go. Cuties!!

The girl in the middle in the blue sweater is Monica Wood. Monica promoted to Manager and was part of that march. Yay Monica - Way to go!!!

This is Kim Wilson, who also promoted to Manager!!! Woohoo, Kim!!!

Here are Sherri Peters and Meg Daves. These two leaders got to take part in the Executive march. At this level you must have 14 demonstrators in your first level and rolling sales of $14,400. Sherri and Meg are well on their way to joining me at the Senior Executive level. Congratulations girls!!!

This is my SU mama, Janet Baker (demo #2) getting a hug from Shelli. Janet was honored for achieving the highest level in the company - Senior Advisor! Janet also got to go on an all-expense paid trip to the West Indies. Wow!! I love this company!
I also want to congratulate Tamzin Cochrane, Wendi Sands, Jeri Mazur, and Celia Cawthon for marching at Leadership. Since my photography skills are not stellar I did not get a picture of these girls. If you have a picture of them send it to me, won't you.
