Superbowl Party Turns STAMPING PARTY!

Ok! I had the best weekend!! Here's are the highlights:
Dinner Friday night at my favorite hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint (Woody's, between Guthrie and Langston) with my sweetie, 2 delightful offspring and 1 equally delightful significant other. So fun! We laughed and laughed.
Then I got to spend Saturday morning with the wonderful and talented women of INK the Beginning. We have a get-together every month on the first Saturday and this one was our quarterly Stamp-a-Stack! It was so much fun to see everyone and watch them socialize and build relationships while they create beautiful cards to share with their friends.  Saturday was FREEZING so we fixed a big pot of chili for dinner and a roaring fire in the fireplace. Our W-ford kids were here for the weekend so we invited Thunder fan, Uncle Vernon over and watched the game. Sadly, the Thunder didn't win this time.
Superbowl Sunday was a hoot!! We were invited to our friend, Druber's house. Now we all know that just about everyone enjoys the act of creating something special with their own hands. So I thought, "Hey, there will be several of our couple friends at the watch party and I know they all need Valentines cards....", you know where I'm going with this! Well, I asked Druber if I could bring the Arts & Crafts. His reply was, "Um, yes?" So I took this as a solid, "Please do!" Haha! What happened next was the magic of stamping. Well, I just tell the story with pictures.
Bart getting instructions.

My sweetie came to Bart's rescue and joined the stampers.
Proud and showing off their cards!
Here are Wendy and Kevin working hard.

That is the smile of one proud Ogle! Thanks for being such a sport, Kevin.
Beautiful Ginger showing off her first time to create a card.

Cutie bug, Wendy with a Valentine for her man.

Sweet Marla added her creativity to the inside of her Valentine.

Al is hard at work on his special Valentine.

And finally, host Druber and his handy work. Great job everyone!!

So as you can see anyone can have fun stamping, even if they don't know it yet!

I have a pretty Glitter Shaker to give away. Congratulations to Shelia deCordova! If you leave me a comment you might win a His & Hers Valentine's Day Card Pack!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit to My Stamping Table! See you back soon, I hope.

  2. This is purely precious. I love watching people concentrate so seriously on the project at hand. That nurturing heart comes out and everyone is having fun and taking pride in their art work! These photos have to go into archives for their loved ones.

  4. I totally agree, Celia! Isn't it fun to watch the most unlikely of stampers get into their creating. The guys were so cute. They started out all "too cool for school" and by the end they were saying things like, "hey where's the thing that makes the edge of that paper look bumpy?" and "Can I decorate the envelope?" Loved it! They were really good sports about it too considering they were missing Madonna! lol

  8. Well first you have to catch them when they think you are about to feed them. hahahaha Actually, they all were really great and followed instructions beautifully. (There were a few snarky comments from one, but when he realized that he had a Valentine card for his mama he all smiles and high-fives.)
